Carlsberg Group has inaugurated its first IT Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Gurugram, India, a move aimed at strengthening the company’s worldwide digital backbone. The new hub will develop and manage advanced technology functions for Carlsberg’s operations across 140+ countries.
The Gurugram centre is expected to work on digital solutions spanning cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and data-driven decision systems. By anchoring these capabilities in India, Carlsberg plans to accelerate innovation while creating a cost-efficient, scalable tech ecosystem to support brewing, logistics, and sales.
India has rapidly emerged as a global GCC hotspot, attracting multinationals from FMCG, banking, and manufacturing. For Carlsberg, this centre represents more than just a technology outpost; it reflects a shift toward embedding digital intelligence into every layer of its business.
With more corporations choosing India as the base for capability centres, Gurugram’s role as a digital innovation hub for global consumer brands is only set to grow.
